Tyrannosaurus rex Bite Marks on Edmontosaurus Tibia

This rare specimen preserves the bite and tooth drag mark of a Tyrannosaurus rex tooth on a chunk of Edmontosaurus tibia bone. It was collected by Tom Hendershot form the Cretaceous, Hell Creek Formation of Montana in 2007 on a privately owned 6000 acre ranch. Edmontosaurus and Triceratops was undoubtedly a favorite meal for Trex, especially the old, sick or carcasses.

The last photo shows the replica on the left and real bone on the right side by side.
