This is an authentic Carcharodontosaurus tooth. They lived between 100 and 93 million years ago, during the Cretaceous Period in the coastal plains of North Africa and western Morocco. It is sometimes called the African T-rex and may have been as big or slightly bigger than Tyrannosaurus; possibly slightly larger than Giganotosaurus, but not quite as large as Spinosaurus. It is one of the longest and heaviest known carnivorous dinosaurs, with various scientists proposing length estimates ranging between 39-44 feet and weight estimates between 6-16 tons. They had enormous jaws and long, serrated teeth up to eight inches long. A skull length of over 5 feet has been reported.
