Dendroolithus is genus of dinosaur egg native to China and Mongolia. This type of egg is believed to have been laid by a Hadrosaur or duckbilled dinosaur. The original egg was found in China and is from the Cretaceous time period of about 100 million years ago. This replica egg is molded and cast from the original egg.

The first dinosaur eggs were discovered in southern France in 1859, by a Catholic priest and amateur naturalist named Father Jean-Jacques Pouech; he thought, however, that they were laid by giant birds. The first scientifically recognized dinosaur egg fossils were discovered in 1923 by Roy Chapman Andrews and his American Museum of Natural History expedition to Mongolia. These eggs were mistakenly attributed to the locally abundant herbivore Protoceratops, but are now known to be Oviraptor eggs.
